Panel Advocate System
Your panel, without the chaos.
Replaces the Excel sheet, the WhatsApp group and the paper voucher — with a single, audit-logged system your legal team and panel advocates both use.
Auto-assign briefs — the right advocate, every time
When a new hearing is scheduled, NRD assigns it automatically: forum tier (MACT, HC, SC), geography (district and state), current workload and past performance on similar claim types all factor in. The brief — structured claim summary, evidence pack, prior orders — is sent directly to the advocate's thin app.
No more manual allocation calls. No more missed hearings because the brief sat in someone's inbox. The assignment log is auditable.
Hearing verification — geo-tagged, eCourts-confirmed
NRD cross-checks every hearing against the eCourts CNR record for that case. If the eCourts system shows a date and the advocate's report shows a different one, the mismatch is flagged.
Appearance confirmation is geo-tagged: the advocate checks in from the court location on the day. Patterns of late or missing appearances accumulate in the scorecard, not in a conversation no one can find later.
Order collection — from paper to claim file, the same day
After each hearing, the advocate photographs the order with SmartDocCamera. NRD OCRs the text, tags the outcome (adjourned / partial award / final order / dismissed), links it to the claim file and notifies the claims team.
Orders flow into the evidence network: a tribunal order becomes part of the structured record, not a PDF buried in email.
Compliant payouts — TDS S.194J + GST, handled
Advocate fees trigger a Razorpay payout with TDS deducted under Section 194J (10% on professional fees) and GST-compliant invoicing. The system generates the required documentation for your finance team automatically.
No more manual TDS working papers. No more GST reconciliation at year-end from a pile of Word documents. Every payout is tied to a hearing, a claim and an advocate.
Live advocate scorecards — performance you can see
Each panel advocate has a running scorecard: hearings attended vs assigned, average outcome quality (award vs reserve, settlements achieved), order collection speed, and response time on brief assignment.
Scorecards are shared with advocates so they know exactly what they are being measured on. Panel renewal decisions become data-driven rather than relationship-driven.
The advocate's thin app — simple enough to use in court
Your panel advocates get a lightweight mobile app: today's hearings, the brief for each, a check-in button, a camera for orders and a secure message thread with your claims team. Nothing more than they need.
The app works on low-bandwidth connections. It doesn't require training beyond a five-minute walkthrough.
